Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe and Transfer to Kampala
Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by your professional tour guide. From here, you will transfer to your hotel in Kampala, Uganda’s vibrant capital city. Depending on your arrival time, you can relax and unwind or explore some local attractions such as the Uganda Museum, Ndere Cultural Center, or the bustling craft markets. In the evening, enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before retiring to your hotel for an overnight stay in Kampala.
Day 2: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
After breakfast, you will depart Kampala and drive northwest towards Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s largest national park. Along the way, you will pass through picturesque rural landscapes and enjoy views of the Nile River. Upon arrival, check into your lodge and prepare for an afternoon game drive. Expect to see elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, antelopes, and possibly lions. In the evening, return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay in the park.
Day 3: Murchison Falls Safari and Nile Cruise
Start the day with a morning game drive to explore more of Murchison Falls’ abundant wildlife. Afterward, enjoy a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile towards the base of the famous Murchison Falls. Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest – Cultural Experience
Depart early for Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to the world-famous mountain gorillas. Along the way, stop in local villages to engage in cultural activities with the Batwa (Pygmy) community, learning about their traditions and way of life. Check into your lodge in Bwindi for dinner and overnight stay, preparing for the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.
Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi and Departure
Rise early for the highlight of your tour: gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. Accompanied by expert guides, you will trek through dense rainforest to spend an hour observing a gorilla family in their natural habitat. After this unforgettable encounter, return to your lodge for lunch. Depending on your flight schedule, you can begin your journey back to Entebbe for your departure, taking with you memories of Uganda’s extraordinary wildlife and rich cultural heritage.
