Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Welcome to the Pearl of Africa

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly received by your professional tour guide who will brief you about your safari. You will then transfer to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala for check-in and relaxation. Depending on your arrival time, you can enjoy an optional visit to the Entebbe Botanical Gardens or the Uganda Wildlife Education Centre. Overnight stay in Entebbe.


Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park via Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

After breakfast, you will begin your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. En route, stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for a guided rhino tracking experience—the only place in Uganda where rhinos can be seen in the wild. Continue your scenic drive to Murchison Falls, arriving in time for an evening relaxation at your lodge. Dinner and overnight stay inside or near the park.


Day 3: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon Nile Boat Cruise

Wake up early for a morning game drive across the savannah plains of Murchison Falls National Park. Look out for elephants, giraffes, lions, buffaloes, antelopes, and leopards. In the afternoon, enjoy a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile to the base of the majestic Murchison Falls, where you’ll see hippos, crocodiles, and many waterbirds. Later, hike to the top of the falls for breathtaking views. Return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.


Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

After breakfast, set off for Kibale Forest National Park, one of the most beautiful rainforests in East Africa. The drive will take you through scenic countryside, traditional homesteads, and tea plantations. You’ll arrive in the evening and check into your lodge near the park. Dinner and overnight stay in Kibale.


Day 5: Chimpanzee Tracking and Bigodi Wetland Walk

Begin your day with an exciting chimpanzee tracking adventure in Kibale Forest. Guided by experienced rangers, you’ll trek through the dense forest to find chimpanzees and learn about their behavior. After lunch, visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a community-guided nature walk, where you can spot various bird species and interact with the local people. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.


Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

After breakfast, depart for Queen Elizabeth National Park, Uganda’s most popular and scenic park. Upon arrival, take a brief evening game drive through the savannah plains where you might encounter elephants, lions, warthogs, and antelopes. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge overlooking the park’s rolling plains or the Kazinga Channel.


Day 7: Game Drive and Boat Cruise on the Kazinga Channel

Start the day with a morning game drive through the Kasenyi plains, known for its high concentration of wildlife. You might spot Uganda kobs, lions, buffaloes, and leopards. In the afternoon, enjoy a relaxing boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural waterway connecting Lakes Edward and George. The cruise offers fantastic sightings of hippos, crocodiles, and numerous bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at your lodge.


Day 8: Transfer to Ishasha Sector – Tree-Climbing Lions

After breakfast, head south to the Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park, famous for its unique population of tree-climbing lions. Enjoy a game drive in search of these rare predators and other wildlife like topis, elephants, and buffaloes. Dinner and overnight stay at a lodge in Ishasha.


Day 9: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After breakfast, drive to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, home to half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas. The drive offers scenic views of rolling hills and lush vegetation. Arrive at your lodge in the evening, check in, and relax as you prepare for the thrilling gorilla trekking adventure. Dinner and overnight stay in Bwindi.


Day 10: Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today is the highlight of your safari! After an early breakfast and briefing by park rangers, begin your trek through the dense forest in search of a gorilla family. Once found, you’ll spend an unforgettable hour observing their behavior and taking photos. After this magical experience, return to your lodge to relax or enjoy a cultural visit to the Batwa community. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.


Day 11: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi – The Lake of a Thousand Islands

After breakfast, drive to Lake Bunyonyi, a stunning lake surrounded by terraced hills and dotted with small islands. Upon arrival, take a canoe ride to explore the islands or enjoy swimming, birdwatching, and community walks. Dinner and overnight stay overlooking the lake’s tranquil waters.


Day 12: Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Depart for Lake Mburo National Park after breakfast. This is Uganda’s smallest savannah park but rich in wildlife such as zebras, impalas, elands, and giraffes. Upon arrival, take an afternoon boat ride on Lake Mburo to see hippos and waterbirds. Dinner and overnight stay inside the park.


Day 13: Morning Nature Walk and Return to Kampala

Wake up early for a guided nature walk in the park, offering you a chance to see wildlife up close on foot. Afterward, have breakfast and begin your journey back to Kampala, with a stopover at the Equator for photos and souvenir shopping. Arrive in Kampala in the evening and check into your hotel for overnight stay.


Day 14: Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast at your hotel before transferring to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight. Depending on your flight time, you may choose to visit local craft markets for last-minute shopping. This marks the end of your 14 Days Best of Uganda Safari – a journey filled with wildlife, adventure, and unforgettable memories.
